The Budapest Card

The Budapest Card is the official tourist card of Budapest, allowing you to travel freely across the entire urban public transport network and receive discounts at museums, thermal baths, cafés, bars, shops and much more. You will find information on where to buy it at the end of this page.

Types of cards available

The Budapest Card is available with a validity of 24, 48 or 72 hours. To choose the card best suited to you, you first need to decide how long you will be staying in the city and the type of visit you want to plan.

Budapest Card prices

  • 24 hours: €16
  • 48 hours: €25.50
  • 72 hours: €32

Museums and attractions included in the Budapest Card

The Budapest Card circuit includes free admission to the Budapest History Museum, Aquincum Museum, Kiscelli Museum, Vasarely Museum, Hungarian National Gallery and Hungarian National Museum. It also includes free admission to the Szent Lukács Baths, as well as discounts from 5% to 50% at many partner attractions and restaurants, all listed in the brochure included with the card.

Where to buy the Budapest Card

The card is sold at tourist information centres, including the one at Ferihegy Airport Terminals 1, 2A and 2B. Opening hours: all year round, Mon–Sun: from 9 am to 10 pm; 24/12: from 9 am to 1 pm; 01/01: from 10 am to 6 pm; 25/12: from 9 am to 1 pm. In the city there are around 250 sales points, including travel agencies, metro stations and hotel receptions.
